MS150 Bike Tour
In 2006 JADE donated 2 bikes to fight MS! The frames were raffled off to two lucky winners! In our early days of cycling the MS150 was the catalsyt that introduced us to the passion of cycling. Riding for friends, riding for a cause. Riding for the Hope of a cure! Look for JADE at the West Michigan MS150 in 08', we have been providing support to this event since 2002.
We support the Ride of Silence. Each year this ride is held to remember the riders and honor the families of those who have been lost to cycling accidents. Each year it is our honor to bring up the back of the pack in this event.
Held at the Saugatuck State Park in Laketown Twp, MI, this event has grown since its inception by our local JADE riders. Thanks to Ralph & Joel for a great event! www.dunesdu.com for event details.
In 2002 JADE began dontaing 'Share the Road' signs to Allegan County. Since then we have worked with local groups to continue placing 'Share' signs along our roadways in Allegan, Ottawa & Kent counties. Look for more signs in 08'!
The 'Share' signs have been a great start, but we have continued by working with area driving schools to educate their students (new drivers) as to the rights of cyclists using the roadways. We look forward to continuing our quest for a peaceful co-existence between cars and cyclists.
